MONEY!!!!

Good news Everyone!

The Office of Student Financial Aid at GMU recently revised my financial aid awards for the 2009-2010 Aid Year by adding an Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)!!!

This is an extra 650 dollars per semester (1300 dollars for the year) that I dont have to pay! Apparently this Grant has strict requirements that I have fulfilled, so I'm receiving money! It's only for Freshman and Sophomores, and from Junior year on I think you get more money through something called the a National SMART Grant. Since I qualified for the ACG I think next year I automatically qualify for the SMART as well, if I fulfill the requirements.

This is sooo exciting! Now I really need to concentrate and do well because I want to keep receiving free money~~~ this is AWESOME!!! ><

you can check out info on grants/scholarships/loans/other at financialaid.gmu.edu (for those that go to MASON)

I wish all of your success on your academic futures!

Till next time~ XD

Arghhhh it itches!!!! T_T

Hello everyone~ how's summer going for ya??

I was doing very excellent myself, until a week ago when I started getting these weird rashes all over my legs and hips. Nothing about my life style really changed, but it just happened spontaneously and now it really itches.

Ok, symptoms...

It starts up as soon as I wake up. They sorta disappear when I sleep, but as soon as I wake up they act up again, and when I take my morning shower they really get irritated and starts to get larger.

I've been taking some drug, and it kinda helps, but now its been more than a week and I think the rash has developed a resistance to it because it doesnt work quite as well as it did in the beginning.

I hope it goes away soon, because I cant concentrate on anything with my body itching so much!

For a week the rash has been concentrated on my legs and hips but now they're moving up towards my upper body and arms. Its all over the place!

I guess I just have to bear with it, maybe after this is over my body will be stronger because it will have developed an immunity to this kinda thing~

Well that was my little rant for the day! Stay healthy and have fun!~!

I wonder...

  • What will happen to me when I get older?
  • if I'll ever forget about / grow out of video games?
  • who actually thinks about me at night?
  • if anyone is actually listening to me?
  • why the world is so cruel to everyone.
  • what will happen to everyone if I wasn't around.
  • what other people wonder.
  • who misses me, wants to spend time with me, likes me for who I am.
  • why I act this way whenever things bother me.
  • why do I sound so 'emo' sometimes?
  • why do I try to hide it?
  • why can't I?

Nobody.

Nobody I really know and supposedly care about, really knows about who I am. Nobody.

Tragic Poem / Story

Why do I feel like we're drifting away the more I get to know you? Why do I feel like I'm out of touch with you?

The sun shines upon your face. I see you.
I hear your voice. Then I see him, and I'm jealous.
It's suddenly dark. And I find out I can't be with you.

Forbidden love, what pain, what heartache.
I learned in class that it existed in medieval times.
History is rewriting itself.

First part of a "tragic" poem I want to write.
I'll probably continue it later.

And now for the other side...

So I really like Isaac's optimistic view on life. I wish I was like him in that way.

Sun dances on it
Oh little that it knows
about the bed's blood

Sorry felt Haiku-ish for a moment.

I'll rant more later. See you.

Summer Posting2~

Hello~ It's me, Isaac Again!

Summer is only a month left! I cant believe how fast, and slow this summer is going for me. It's already almost August, and yet, we still have a month left after all that time! It's simply amazing to think I've been doing my thing for 2 months, but Im actually happy about the extra month we have left, because I still havent finished studying the Nakama book (I'm studying 1 chapter a week) and I still want to do lots of things before I get back to school (I need to hopefully win some scholarships to help pay for school, more exercise, finish studying the book, get alot of reading done and etc. and etc.).

Yesterday while studying Japanese I learned something new. Apparently, if you place たい at the end of a verb stem (ex. 食べます minus the ます, so just 食べ), it expresses your desire to do that action. So 食べます(I am eating) turns to 食べたい(I want to eat). Isn't that just AMAZING??? LOL I don't know if that's in the later chapters of Nakama or not, but I had fun discovering it, so whatever~~ :) Studying Japanese is just so much fun, I cant believe I didnt know this kind of thing existed back in Highschool (not that I didnt know there was a language called Japanese, I just didnt realize it could be so much fun!!) I think I made the right choice when I picked my major and my minor~ So far, everything seems to be working out fine for me academic wise.

Now to next business, I need to get some MONEY!!! Hopefully the scholarships that I apply to will pick me and give me what I need to continue my education with, because frankly speaking, my family is in no condition to pay almost 10,000 dollars a year on my education. I mean, it was a freakin miracle that we even paid through my first year in school, and with my 2 brothers (oncoming seniors and sophomores in highschool) almost in college, I would have to earn my own money for school, or pretty soon my parents will be burdened with 3 kids going to college, and unless ur a millionaire, I dont think anyone could pay that kind of money every year. So, with that bleak future in mind, I need to make some money, either through scholarships or a job, and I dont have a job, so option number one is good. But so far, I havent won any ever, and I'm not very confident that I will get any, but I will still try my hardest~!!

If that doesnt work, then I would have to get loans to pay for college, and I really dont want to do that because its everything that I would have to pay back later, and I dont want to be burdened with that kind of disadvantage in the future, when I want to pursue what I want to do.

Ahhh, the future seems so harsh and bleak (I shouldn't be complaining, there are ppl waaaaay worse off than I am) but the only thing I can do for now is concetrate and do my hardest on what Im doing currently. THe future will work itself out.

So for all of you that is worrying about their future, just dont worry about it!!! haha if you worry too much about the future, then you're going to miss the good times here and now, so just try to give the best you've got now, and the Future will work itself out... I hope hehe.

Till next time then~

summer~

wow It's been a long time since I wrote anything here~

well its summer now I guess, and its already half over, and surprisingly I have many things to do everyday that I set up for myself, like studying Japanese and exercising to stay healthy.

What I really want to do this summer is to improve my health, endurance, physical stamina and physique to near that of an athlete's lvl so that I can perform well next semester. I realized while studying that your intellect and mental focus is important but what really matters is your health. Afterall, studying and learning is only possible when you are in good health and when your body can support it.

I've always been somewhat frail all my life, I wasnt too sickly, but I've usually stayed on the skinny side and my physique and stamina were not very good. I couldnt even run a mile in 10 minutes during highschool, and I particularly never paid any attention to the health related factor of my life until very recently during my senior year. I figured that to study in college and compete with everyone else I needed good health, as well as good grades.

For some people working out and exercising to stay healthy regularly is very hard, and for me too I wondered how I was gonna keep it up for a month, 2 months, a year, but it really wasnt that difficult when I set a personal goal and I look forward to achieving that goal. That's why I will not quit and will keep working hard to improve myself.

Im also doing well brain-wise since I study everyday, so I think my summer is going very productively, although Im not doing anything official or that I have a cool job like everyone else and making money.

I look forward to going to school soon, and keeping up the good work at school too and not get lazy. I will give my very best from now on.
